Troubleshooting GCQuad USB Connection Drops
If your GCQuad disconnects frequently over USB, the issue is usually hardware or configuration-related. Here’s how to fix it:
1. Check the Cable
Use a high-quality USB-C cable and connect it to a 3.0 USB port (usually blue).
Test the cable with another device. Replace if faulty.
Avoid hubs or extensions if possible.
2. Test USB Ports
Try a different port on your PC.
If possible, test on another computer.
3. Update Firmware
Check your firmware: OK → Arrows → About → OK. Page 1 "Build"
Download the latest version from Hardware Support.
4. Update Drivers & OS
Ensure Windows and USB drivers are up to date.
In Device Manager, disable USB power-saving:
USB Root Hub → Properties → Power Management → Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device.”
If problems persist, contact support with details of your setup and steps taken.
